Know Before You Go

Everything you need to know for Outside Lands, all in one place

Outside Lands is almost here! Whether you’re an old friend of Ranger Dave’s or a first-time festival goer, here’s what to know before you head to Golden Gate Park.

Daily Schedule

All the stages, all the acts: plan your perfect festival now on our Schedule page or in our official Outside Lands 2023 app!

Bag Policy

While we would prefer that fans come bag-free, we realize that is not always possible. Help us to help you enjoy the festival by only bringing the following types and size bags:

  • Backpacks and bags made of clear plastic, clear vinyl, or clear PVC

  • Small bags, fanny-packs, purses up to 6” x 8” x 3” (do not have to be clear) Empty dedicated hydration packs with a bladder capacity of under 2.5L/150 in. and no more than one additional pocket.

  • Standard size backpacks with hydration bladders will not be permitted.

Transportation Information

We recommend alternative methods of travel other than driving, including local shuttles, rideshares, MUNI, BART, walking, scooter, and bikes. Parking is not available at the festival grounds and is extremely limited in the surrounding neighborhoods. We do not recommend you drive to the festival. Skip the hassle and try another transportation mode to get to Outside Lands this year!

For detailed information on how to get to the festival, visit our Travel & Transport section of our Info page.

3-Day and Single Day round trip shuttle passes are available now! The first 5 pricing tiers for 3-Day shuttle passes have sold out. Limited availability is left on tier 6, so grab your shuttle passes while you can.

Ranger Dave’s Words of Wisdom

Festival grounds are sacred. Whether you’re eating your way through the park or dancing like nobody’s watching, make sure to follow these health and safety tips from Ranger Dave:

Don’t wave your valuables in the air like you just don’t care. Better yet, leave them at home or in a convenient storage locker.

Do tune in to your surroundings and if you see something, say something. Look for a member of Outside Lands’ Medical & Safety team and clue them in.

Do remember that SF summers can get quite chilly. Be prepared—bring layers. Layers are a good way to stay warm and cozy when the fog rolls in.

Don’t forget to drink H20. One easy way to spoil the party is to forget to take care of your splendid self throughout the weekend. Don’t forget that even though it may not be hot out, your body is still thirsting for water. Use our free potable water stations available throughout the festival site!

Do keep an eye on your friends and get them help if you think they need it. Don’t be afraid to talk to our Medical & Safety staff, anything you tell them is confidential.
